How we keep this parking guide accurate
Parking information changes: rate structures get revised, shuttle hours shift, car parks open and close. This page explains how we check what we publish, how often we revisit it, and how you can correct us when something is out of date. We are an independent guide and we do not take bookings.
Terminal layouts · precincts · pricing structure · shuttle arrangements
What we check and what we leave alone
We verify terminal layouts, the number of precincts, the broad structure of short-stay and long-stay pricing, and the shuttle arrangements off-site operators describe publicly. These are the details that shape which option suits your trip, and they change slowly enough to describe with confidence.
We do not publish live prices, because they change without notice and a stale figure is worse than none. Where a detail varies by operator, we say so rather than flattening it into one answer. Specific rates belong on the operator's own page, and we point you there.
The Sydney airport parking landscape includes both on-airport car parks run by the airport authority and independent off-site car parks on O'Riordan Street and surrounding roads. The two behave differently — different shuttle operators, different height clearances, different collection windows — so we keep them on separate lines of the guide rather than mixing them.
Where the information comes from
Our starting points are public, not privileged. We read what passengers read, and we prefer a service's own published terms over its marketing copy.
Airport signage and terminal maps
The physical precinct layout as shown on official terminal signage and published terminal maps. We check which terminals the short-stay and long-stay car parks serve, and how the kerbside is organised for pick-up and drop-off.
PUBLIC MAPS
Operator websites and booking terms
The pages each car park publishes about its own shuttles, height limits, grace periods, and cancellation rules. We treat operator marketing claims with care and prefer to describe what a service does rather than repeat a superlative.
OPERATOR TERMS
Transport arrangements as described to passengers
How transfers between the car park and the terminal are advertised to travellers — the shuttle route, the stated journey time, and the operating window. If two sources disagree, we say the detail varies rather than picking the more flattering version.
PASSENGER FACING
We do not have access to any operator's live booking system. The figures we publish are structural — how pricing is organised, not what a specific space costs on a specific day.
How often pages are revisited
Rate structures and shuttle hours move more often than terminal layouts, so we check the pricing and transfer pages more frequently than the terminal guide. There is no fixed schedule we can promise, because some months pass with no change and others bring several. When we find a meaningful shift, we update the affected section rather than the whole page.
Checked most often. Fare structures and surcharge bands change without notice, so the rates index is the first page we revisit when something shifts.
Transfer hours and routes are reviewed alongside rates. Off-site operators adjust timetables for seasonal demand, and a shuttle window that closed is the detail most likely to be wrong on a static page.
Terminal layouts move slowly. The physical precincts, kerbside organisation, and which car park serves which terminal change only with construction or a reorganisation, so this guide is reviewed less urgently.
Reader corrections are actioned as they arrive. A confirmed detail is updated on the affected page — we do not wait for a scheduled cycle to fix something that is already wrong.
Some months pass with no change at all. Others bring several revisions in the same week. The cycle follows the detail, not the calendar.
What we do not claim to know
THE HONEST EDGE OF THE GUIDE
We do not have access to any operator's live booking system, so we cannot confirm a specific rate for your dates. We do not know the current state of a car park's availability on the day you travel. And we do not run the car parks, so we cannot resolve a dispute over a charge.
For those, you need the operator or the airport directly. We point you toward the right place to ask — we do not answer the question for them.
When a detail is operator-specific
Mascot car parks are independent businesses, so their shuttle hours, height limits and collection rules differ. When something is not airport-wide, we label it that way. This is why you will see phrases like "confirm with your operator" on the pages.
It is not hedging; it is the honest description of how off-site parking works. A 2.1-metre clearance at one car park does not mean the next one matches. A 24-hour shuttle at one site does not mean the site across the road runs the same window.
Where a detail is genuinely airport-wide — the terminal a car park serves, the road it sits on, the suburb it is in — we state it plainly. Where it is not, we say which operator it applies to.

VARIESTHE FEEDBACK LINE IS OPEN — TELL US THE PAGE, THE DETAIL, AND WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS CORRECT
How to tell us something is wrong
The contact page takes corrections directly. Tell us the page, the detail, and what you believe is correct, and if you have a source, share it. We read every message about accuracy.
Corrections to shuttle hours and height limits are the most common, and the most useful, because those vary most between operators. A wrong shuttle window is the difference between making a flight and missing one — we would rather know.
CONTACT
The contact page takes corrections directly — no booking, no commission, just the detail.
What happens after a correction
We check the detail against our sources and, where possible, against the operator's own published information. If it holds, we update the page and note the change. If we cannot confirm it, we either soften the claim or remove it.
An unverified detail is worse than a stated uncertainty, so we do not publish corrections we cannot stand behind. The guide's value is in what it gets right, not in what it guesses.
We check the claim against our sources and the operator's published terms.
VERIFYIf it holds, we update the affected section and note the change.
UPDATEIf we cannot confirm it, we soften the claim or remove it entirely.
REMOVENO BOOKINGS · NO COMMISSION · ONE INTEREST
Why we stay independent
We do not take bookings and we do not earn a commission from any car park. That means our only interest is describing the options clearly enough for you to choose. If we recommended the wrong category, you would notice, and it would not help anyone.
Independence is the reason this page exists at all. A guide that earns from clicks has a reason to push one operator; a guide that does not has a reason to be honest about the trade-offs. We are the second kind.
When we say a detail varies by operator, that is the detail varying — not us avoiding a recommendation. When we say confirm with the operator, that is where the answer actually lives.
Questions about how this guide works
The details we check, the details we leave to operators, and what happens when you spot something we got wrong.
Why don't you list exact parking prices?
Rates change without notice, and a stale figure misleads more than it helps. We describe how each option is priced instead, and point you to operators for current rates. The structure of a rate — short-stay versus long-stay, per-hour versus per-day — moves slowly enough to be worth describing; the number on the board does not.
Can you book a parking space for me?
No. We are an information guide only. Book directly with the car park or the airport, and confirm the terms before you pay. We do not take a booking fee and we do not receive a commission from any operator.
How do I report a mistake?
Use the contact page. Give us the page, the detail, and what you believe is correct, plus a source if you have one. We check and update where it holds up. Corrections to shuttle hours and height limits are the most common — and the most useful — because those vary most between operators.
Found a detail that is out of date?
Tell us the page, the detail, and what you believe is correct. We read every message about accuracy, and the most useful corrections are the ones that vary most between operators — shuttle hours, height limits, and collection windows.
